Our 2024 - 2025 Teaching & Learning Development Plan

Each year we take time to reflect on how are children have learnt and how we can continue to improve.  We have spent time ensuring the children are confident and secure in their environment and ready to learn. This year we will be focusing closely on all areas of learning, ensuring that the children who attend Cherry Tree Academy have a broad and balanced curriculum whilst continuing to build on their numeracy and literacy skills.

Priority 1: To continue to develop the curriculum, through the aspects of formative and summative assessment.

Priority 2: To ensure that there is strong Maths teaching across the Academy Trust.

Priority 3: To improve the quality of reading across all year groups considering the guidance of the Reading Framework issued

Priority 4: To increase the number of pupils reaching the age-related expectations for Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar.
