'Pupils behave well in lessons. They listen carefully to each other and their teachers. At breaks and lunchtime, pupils play happily together. Pupils who join the school are welcomed and accepted. They benefit from the high-quality pastoral support in place and make new friends quickly. Adults know pupils and their families well. They know there are times when some need additional help. When this is the case, pupils receive effective care and support. This contributes strongly to pupils’ well-being'. OFSTED 2023
We always welcome colleagues from OFSTED and enjoy the professional dialogue that we have with them. In February 2023 we received our latest OFSTED visit. The team recognised the changes that were happening in the academy at the time and agreed with the direction of travel we were undertaking. We look forward to welcoming our colleagues back again.
Remember that OFSTED are always keen to hear up to date views of the school. You can do this via Parent View. This is an online survey on the OFSTED website. You can find out more details by following the link http://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk or click on the logo.
RESULTS
We value every child, their individuality and their learning.
We are always incredibly proud of the effort children make each and every day. We have a significant number of children who arrive from different education systems and throughout the year. We feel, therefore that it is incredibly important to ensure that the children are settled and able to adjust to their new place of learning. We strive to ensure that they aim not only to meet and, where possible, exceed the national age related expectations but, more importantly they make accelerated progress in relation to their own starting points. We endeavour to ensure that we balance the demands of the curriculum with the joy of being a child.
