Food at our Academy
Children may bring a packed lunch and snack to the Academy each day or purchase them from our kitchen. Meals cost £2:50 per day. Children may order a school packed lunch, hot dinner or a jacket potato.
We contract Edwards & Blake to provide freshly cooked meals. Mrs Catchpole and her team produce wonderful, tasty meals. Individual medical diets can be catered for by arrangement with Edwards & Blake, please contact the academy office for further information.
Please note that we are a nut-free academy. If your child is bringing in food from home, please ensure that it does not contain any nut or nut products.
Families can choose to pay for the meals in a way that suits them. To provide the most flexible way of accommodating families needs meals can be paid for on the day, weekly, monthly or termly by cash or online (amounts above £10 only accepted online). If children are paying with ash they should bring the money in a sealed named envelope and put it in the box in their classroom at the start of the day. We encourage children to carry their snack money with them. They no more than 90p which is enough to choose a drink and something to eat at playtime.
We all eat together in the hall across two sittings. Children are encouraged to make sure that they relax during the lunch period and take the time they need to enjoy their meals.
